Freelance 'Pioneer' Steam Locomotive
This is a Freelance locomotive based on early pioneering locomotives from the dawn of the railways. the inspiration behind this kit was the locomotives owned and built by Isaac Watt Boulton.
This is a 3D printed resin kit containing; the locomotive body and tender. separately fitted regulator and reverser and 009 standard couplings.
To power this locomotive you will need to purchase a TU-Koppel A chassis. This can be found on eBay or possibly through some model rail shops. alternatively you can order them from Plaza Japan for a slightly cheaper price.
Also required, for the tender, will be a set of N scale wheels. The ones used in the photos are 'Peco Nr-101'.
For securing parts of the kit I would recommend using super glue. For painting I have tested Humbrol, Revel and Citadel paints all of which work fine.
